What to expect 

The procedure is quick and comfortable for most clients. You may feel a slight warming or snapping sensation as the laser targets the blood vessels. The area may look red, slightly raised, or swollen immediately after treatment—this is a normal response and typically settles within 24–48 hours. In some cases, the vessel may disappear instantly; other times, it fades gradually over the following weeks. Most clients see visible improvement after just one session!

How many sessions will I need?
The number of treatments depends on the type and location of the vascular concern:

Leg veins usually require 2–6 sessions, spaced 6–10 weeks apart

Facial veins typically need 2–4 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart

Spider naevi, Campbell de Morgan spots, and venous lakes often respond well to just 1–2 sessions, also spaced 4–6 weeks apart

Will the blood vessels come back?

Treated vessels typically do not return. However, new ones can develop over time—especially if you’re prone to vascular conditions or have lifestyle or environmental triggers. Maintenance treatments may be needed in the future.

Is the treatment painful?

The laser sensation is often described as a quick flick or mild sting. It’s very tolerable, and the built-in cooling system helps minimise discomfort throughout the procedure.

Is there any downtime?

There’s very little to no downtime. The treated area may be red, slightly swollen, or sensitive for 24–48 hours, but you can return to most normal activities straight after your appointment.

Can all skin types be treated?

Yes! The 1064nm wavelength is safe and effective for most skin tones, including deeper complexions. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin type to ensure the safest treatment approach.

What should I avoid before and after treatment?

Avoid sun exposure, fake tan, and any irritating skin care products (like retinols or acids) on the area for at least 2 weeks before and after your session. We’ll give you personalised aftercare instructions to follow.
